Gabion boxes, also known as gabion wire, are metal wire mesh structures shaped like boxes and come in various sizes. They are extensively used in highway and railway engineering projects. This option proves to be cost-effective unless obtaining filling materials from nearby quarries is impractical.

Gabion mattress, also known as Reno mattress, serves as a solution for channel lining to prevent erosion. It effectively addresses issues related to wave and erosion speed. Common dimensions for gabion mattresses are 6m long x 2m wide x 0.3m high.

Gabion sacks, or gabion bags, are a type of gabion that forms quickly. With their porous and flexible structure, they are primarily used in emergency situations in hydraulic engineering projects.

Basket Gabion, also referred to as smaller gabions, finds common applications in slope protection, landscape design, and gardening projects.

Spiral Gabion, sometimes called helical gabion, features a spiral-shaped structure suitable for projects with curves or slopes.

Slope protection nets, also known as rockfall protection nets, when used in combination with reinforced geogrids, can further enhance the soil strength of embankments. They can enhance the stability of slopes near highways and railways, achieving erosion control objectives.
